Joanne A. (Rudolph) Miller, 90, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY and Muncy, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 at Emmanuel Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, Danville.
Born April 23, 1933 in Big Run, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Ludrick and Alice Geraldine (Shepler) Rudolph.
Joanne was a 1951 graduate of Big Run High School. In 1974, she graduated with high distinction from Niagara County Community College with an Associate’s Degree. For over 30 years, she worked in retail, at Hess’s, Kaufman’s, and then Macy’s at the Lycoming Mall.
She was a member of Muncy First United Methodist Church, and sang in their choir. Joanne was part of Friends of the Muncy Library.
Joanne enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, painting, art, playing cards, and watching Jeopardy. She loved to travel, and had quite an extensive thimble collection from around the world. She will be remembered for her intellect, and quick wit.
Joanne is survived by two sons, Rodney L. Miller and his wife, Jane, of Hughesville; and Todd J. Miller and his wife, Lisa, of Alamogordo, NM; a daughter, Beth A. Miller Holmes and her husband Bryan, of Danville; a brother, James Rudolph and his wife, Josephine; 7 Grandchildren; and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by a son, Lewis B. Miller; and a brother, Myron Rudolph.
Burial at Muncy First United Methodist Church Memorial Garden will be held at the convenience of the family.
