Roy P. Shreck

Roy P. Shreck, 76, of Hughesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital.

Born August 31, 1949 in Watsontown, he was a son of the late Elmer E., Sr. and Lydia (Huff) Shreck.  On August 30, 1997 he married the former Ruth A. Leech and together they celebrated 28 years of marriage.

Roy was a member of Church of God in Montgomery, where he was a past superintendent.  He enjoyed going to yard sales, auctions and the demolition derby.

In addition to his wife, Ruth, he is survived by three sons: Paul Shreck and his wife Stacey, of Montgomery, Keith Shreck and his wife Shannon, of Watsontown, and Steve Shreck and his wife Michelle, of Washingtonville; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Guy (Mary) Shreck, of Florida, and Charles (Cindy) Shreck, of Montgomery; and a son-in-law: Brian Schley, of Montgomery.

Besides his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his daughter: Cathy M. Shreck-Schley; one brother Elmer "Ernie" Schreck Jr.; and two sisters: Emma Aunkst and Alma Divel.

There will be a memorial service be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 27, at Route 405 Church of God, 7008 Rt. 405 Highway, Montgomery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations in Roy's memory be made to his church.
